Rumors about Miley Cyrus Being Dead

>> Sunday, November 15, 2009

What is it with people wanting to spread rumors like this about Miley Cyrus being dead? It would be horrible enough if this was a true story for not only her family but all her young fans and their parents who would have to explain death to their young, upset child just as it would for any family who lost a child. What a morbid rumor to spread.

>> Monday, September 14, 2009

Patrick Swayze died today at the age of 57. He was diagnosed in early 2008 with pancreatic cancer. I loved his movies. He had a lot of spirit while fighting this nasty disease. It's very sad.

Michael Jackson: Innocent Until Proven Guilty

>> Tuesday, July 7, 2009

In the United States, we have a presumption of innocence (innocent until proven guilty). Michael Jackson was tried and acquitted by a jury in 2005 of the 14 counts against him. He was found not guilty and walked out a free man. Why is he still presumed guilty?

Rep. Peter King (New York) had this to say:

"He was a pervert, a child molestor; he was a pedophile. And to be giving this much coverage to him, day in and day out, what does it say about us as a country?"

He was ACQUITTED by a jury! Who can prove without a reasonable doubt that Michael Jackson was guilty? Anybody? Not Peter King I would imagine. I find it funny that a politician has something so harshly critical to say when so many politicians have so many skeletons hanging in their closets, they probably need crowd control for all of them. If he can't respect a decision made in a court of law, a government institution, then perhaps he should give up his own government job.

The man is dead. He was a musical genius. If people want to celebrate the life of a man who was acquitted of charges, who brought them years of joy in his music, then let them! At a time when children are burying their father, I think critics should shut the heck up at least until he's at his final resting place. This man, no matter what your opinion of him, had children. If his daughter's speech at his memorial service is any indication, those children adored their daddy. Let them grieve for their father without having to worry about things adults should know better than to say in an arena where they could hear it. Would Peter King walk up to Michael Jackson's kids and say that? If not, shut your mouth.

I usually watch Fox News but I have to say that I am disappointed in their coverage last night on Hannity on this topic. The Federal Prosecutor they had on the show who was claiming he was guilty, despite being acquitted...I really have to question her legal education. It also makes me question Hannity's judgment as well, which is disappointing.

I hope despite the crucifying of Michael Jackson by the media and others, despite the acquittal, I hope he felt loved while he was alive.

Michael's Daughter, Paris, Speaks at Memorial

...and it made me cry.

Seeing a child deal with the grief over the loss of a parent she obviously loved brought me to tears. Whatever your opinion of Michael Jackson, Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson obviously adored her daddy.

"Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine," she said, her tiny voice cracking. "And I just wanted to say I love him — so much."

Watching her struggle to say this and then throwing herself into her aunt's arms...we forget that behind all of the celebrity, these are just kids who have been protected as much as possible by their father from all the media frenzy. They're kids.

Pictures of Michael Jackson Dead

>> Friday, July 3, 2009

I'm seeing reports that OK Magazine paid about half a million dollars for the rights to publish pictures of Michael Jackson on the stretcher. I've read it is of him as he lay dying. Wasn't he basically dead at home since he was never revived unless there's a news report I haven't seen yet?

OK Magazine - that is in very poor taste, bad judgment and just outright disgusting! Have some respect! Who would want a death photo of Michael Jackson or anybody for that matter?

Thai Rath David Carradine Death Photo

>> Sunday, June 7, 2009

I heard a paper in Thailand, Thai Rath, published a David Carradine death photo. What? Why would anybody do this?

I write several blogs but never would I publish a photo like that. A few weeks ago, there was a photo of a girl who'd died in a car accident published elsewhere that had everybody panting over seeing it. The reports were that some sicko had even sent it to this girl's family. I don't get that. I find in disgusting.

He died (for whatever reason, he's gone). Let the family get through their investigation and grieve in peace now.

David Carradine Passes Away - June 3, 2009

>> Friday, June 5, 2009

Rumors swirled when David Carradine was found dead in his hotel room...first it was suicide which was unbelievable according to those close to him, then accidental death (by auto-erotic asphyxiation) or murder. I'm thinking if the rumors are true, it is the second one which is a really sad way for a well-known, long-time actor to be remembered.

Reports are saying that he was not alone in his hotel room at the time of his death but who was with him has been withheld. True? Don't know.

According to Wikipedia:

"Erotic asphyxiation refers to intentionally cutting off oxygen to the brain for sexual arousal. It is also called asphyxiophilia, autoerotic asphyxia, scarfing, kotzwarraism, or breath control play. Colloquially, a person engaging in the activity is sometimes called a gasper. The erotic interest in asphyxiation is classified as a paraphilia in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association. Psychiatrist Joseph Merlino stated that it meets the criteria for a disorder "because it has the potential for lethality or serious injury."

You might remember, Michael Hutchence, lead singer of INXS, was also rumored to have died this way.

My thoughts go out to David Carradine's family regardless of the final report on how he passed away. With over 100 feature films behind him, he should be remembered for his lifetime of work, not his last day.

Michael Landons' Son, Mark Landon, Found Dead

>> Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Yesterday, the son of Little House on the Prairie's Michael Landon, Mark Landon, was found dead in his home. There isn't any evidence of foul play but he was only 60. Health reasons perhaps?

Michael Landon was a favorite of mine as a child and it was very sad when he passed away in 1991. Now his son has passed as well.

Here is the article in the L.A. Times.

Ron Silver Dead at Age 62

>> Monday, March 16, 2009

Ron Silver, who has been fighting esophageal cancer for the last two years, passed away in his sleep early yesterday.

Once a Democrat like most of Hollywood, he became a "9/11 Republican" after the terrorist attacks on September 11th and re-registered as "Independent".

According to a Yahoo news report today: "In an interview with The Associated Press a month later, Silver said his support for the war on terror was costing him work in liberal-minded Hollywood."

I guess the freedoms that so many have fought and died for don't apply if you belong to the Hollywood set. If you don't agree with the very liberal minded Hollywood-ites, you have to take your toys and go home (and get blackballed from acting jobs?). Hmmm...that makes me wonder how many Hollywood-ites are actually left-leaning liberal or are just pretending to be in order to remain in the good graces of the powers that be. That's really a shame since their celebrity gets them the sound bites in the news that so many (too many?) people see and hear. Hopefully, Americans don't form their own political opinions based on the "far from reality" Hollywood-ites who aren't a part of mainstream America.

Celebrity News Today - March 2, 2009

>> Monday, March 2, 2009

Well, it seems as if the rumors about Rihanna and Chris Brown are true. They are back together, apparently staying at Sean Combs' (P. Diddy, Puff Daddy...etc. etc.) home with pics of Chris Brown enjoying himself on a jet ski. Whatever. A man does that to you what the police pictures show was done to Rihanna, you don't go back to the jackbutt. I won't be buying either one of their CD's for my kids...not good role models.

Miley Cyrus was seen jogging with her boyfriend, Justin Gaston, and E Online is making something scandalous over a picture in which part of Miley's bikini top was showing at the top of her shirt. They are calling it a "half-naked run." Stupid. A lot of men jog without shirts on and Miley is dressed. People run in jogging bras all the time and Miley is more covered than that. I'd be a lot more concerned about the age difference (no way would my daughter be allowed, at 16, to date a 20-year-old). This is Hollywood. They don't live in our reality.

The NFL players who have been missing have not been found yet. Nick Schuyler has been found west of Tampa Bay, however, he is just one out of a total of four men who were missing. He was found with the boat. The other three are still missing - Corey Smith (former Detroit Lions player), Marquis Cooper (Oakland Raiders), and Will Beakley. No word yet on what he has said about the other three missing. It's not looking good at all.

It is being reported that Ed McMahon has bone cancer and is in intensive care. He turns 86 on Friday.

Molly Ringwald is due to have twins in August. I still like to watch Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles.

Britney Spears
hasn't sold out her concert in New Orleans as of this morning. I wonder if she expected to.

John Travolta/Kelly Preston Extortion Plot Uncovered; Charge Filed

>> Saturday, January 24, 2009

There were three suspects in an alleged Travolta/Preston extortion plot to the tune of $20 million that has to do with his son, Jett's, death. How sick are people to do this to a family in mourning? People disgust me.

For my views on the media concerning the death of Jett, check it out here.
