Oprah Winfrey No More

>> Friday, November 20, 2009

Oprah Winfrey's talk show will be no more...as of September 9, 2011. That will be the end of her 25th season according to EOnline. I knew she'd been around a long time with her talk show but I didn't realize it'd been that long.

Imagine the gifts she'll give away her last season!

Jon Gosselin Fired

>> Thursday, August 20, 2009

That's the rumor anyway, but for now, it's just a rumor that he's being fired from Jon & Kate Plus 8. Some say he is trying to get fired from TLC on purpose so he can start another reality show. I wonder what that show would be?

Jon: How to exploit children, cheat, and date any female that will say "yes"?

That's kind of long. I'm sure he'll come up with something shorter. Apparently, the new show would be about divorced dads and involves 24/7 cameras. Big surprise there. Will those poor kids ever get out of sight from cameras? Poor things. I refused to watch Jon & Kate and I certainly won't watch any new one he, or she, does.

TLC should hand him some consolation gifts and let him out of Jon & Kate shows. It doesn't sound like he'll be hurting for something to do, or money, if they do. He should be able to afford to live the lifestyle he wants, off of his children, while the rest of us pinch pennies and work hard to provide necessities for our own families and raise our children responsibly. I don't think he'll be shopping for rooster dinnerware soon. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with a Playboy bunny on his plates in his new place. That's the impression I get of him. He seems more like a player than a regular person with children depending on him.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 Announcement

>> Thursday, June 18, 2009

There is supposed to be a big Jon and Kate announcement (Jon and Kate Plus 8) on Monday's episode. Speculation is that it is about a divorce. Given all the tabloids recently about the two of them, that'd be the easiest assumption.

What are they going to do, film a "Jon and Kate Plus 8 in two separate homes with custody, visitation, and child support" now? Can you imagine splitting up the household, dividing up toys, time, extra help, and having to buy extras for everything for two homes? Dad gets these children's clothes and mom gets these, dad gets these toys for his house and mom gets these, these pictures go to mom and these go to dad, these personalized baby gifts go to mom and the rest for dad, etc. Would the extra help just travel between the two homes? It's hard enough when you only have a couple kids but helping a family of children this size to adjust would be very difficult. It'd be neverending with all of those kids!

Maybe the announcement will be a reconciliation. The network would get more viewers if they turn this into a separation/divorce scenario though. They could probably get a few more years out of the show!

Jada Pinkett Smith Wearing Lab Coats For Next Role

>> Friday, June 12, 2009

If you like Jada Pinkett Smith, or dramas about the medical field (perhaps you were a long-time ER fan), there is a new show premiering on TNT on June 16, 2009. It is called HawthoRNe. Jada Pinkett Smith's role involves women's lab coats, as she is a starring cast member in this medical drama, AND she gets a Producer chair as well as one of the Executive Producers of the show. This is a long way from her role in A Different World, which I used to watch back in the early 1990's.

There are ten episodes schedules thus far so if you want to catch Jada Pinkett Smith in her next television role, don't miss out.

"V" Trailer for New TV Series Pilot on ABC

>> Thursday, May 21, 2009

I just watched the pilot for a new ABC TV series pilot called "V". This might be a good series. ABC might just gain a little more ground audience-wise with CBS for the season if the show is any good. The pilot looks good - alien visitors who say they come in peace, but to make a show interesting, they've obviously lied.
